Deafness and Vertigo

Abstract
|

|
Vestibular system and auditory system ha-ve different sensory pathway each other. So we usually have other diagnostic approach to vertigo and deafness. In case of vertigo, we can usually observe nystagmus which manifests characteristics according to many kinds of disorder of peripheral and central vestibular system, and tests for the disorder of equilibrium on trunk and extremities.
Sometimes andiometric finding is very im-iportant on diagnosisinn of vertigo, especiallyinner ear disorder invlolving the cochlea and semicircular canal together.
I discussed the .etiology, diagnostic tests and treatment of Vertigo with reference to deafness.
